Orcacon

OrcaCon is a tabletop games convention, which includes board and card games, role-playing games, and miniatures games. OrcaCon is focused on creating a safe and welcoming space for promoting the tabletop games hobby, supporting diversity in tabletop games, and building a community of both novice and experienced game players.

Gamers of all ages are encouraged to attend seminars and workshops about all aspects of the games industry. OrcaCon will also feature demonstrations of games from many local indie game companies, plus tournaments, such as the Catan National Qualifier. The winner of the qualifier will receive a trip to compete in the Catan National Championship, at Origins Game Fair, Columbus, Ohio.

OrcaCon’s mission is to promote diversity in tabletop gaming and this year’s line-up of guests fits into the organization’s 2018 focus on indigenous creators. Guests of honor include Jeffrey Veregge, an award-winning Native American comic book artist who hails from the Port Gamble S’Klallam Tribe, and Renee Nejo, freelance 3D/2D artist and independent game designer. She is a proud Diegueno and a tribal member of the Mesa Grand Band of Mission Indians.
