The Lost Regiment

The Lost Regiment game is based on the novels by William R Forstchen and uses Home Brewed rules based on a combination of Star Frontiers, Boot Hill and Civil War war gaming rules however no knowledge of any of these systems is necessary. The role playing aspect of the game is played on the RPoL site and the war gaming will be played on Roll20.

The story line of the game is about a Civil War infantry regiment (with some artillery and nurses) that has been transported through a wormhole to another world inhabited by human civilizations across history that are ruled by alien overlords who treat humans like cattle.

The players are part of the infantry regiment/artillery battery/nursing unit who are now living among medieval Russians. The Yankees and their Rus allies are preparing to revolt against their oppressors. The Rus peasants need to be trained in "modern warfare" and learn about "modern technology" if they are to have any chance of throwing off the yoke of their Tugar masters. The Tugar hordes are something like Ogre Mongols, they are a man-eating, nomadic, horse mounted culture.

This combination of Civil War characters, in a medieval society, fighting against 10 foot tall aliens also has elements of steam punk technology which I believe offers a unique setting. I am looking for a few more players who enjoy role playing and also have some interest in war gaming.
